Valentine's Scavenger Hunt

For Valentine's Day we planned a special day at the park for the kids. We met with the Kammeyers and had lunch.

After lunch the kids were sent on a Scavenger Hunt!!

Rob helped the kids with the clues. Even Delaney helped out!

Each kid had to guess at least one clue.

After they guessed all the clues they brought them back to the tables.

And noticed that the clues were pieces of a puzzle themselves.

They put the puzzle together but noticed that the middle piece was missing.

With the final clue in place they all ran to get the Grand Prize!

The Grand Prize was COOKIES!!!

And not just any cookies! Homemade sugar cookies that the kids decorated themselves!

Delaney didn't really enjoy decorating the cookies but she sure loved eating them!

After decorating the cookies we all had a silly string fight!

I love doing parties like this at the park! So easy to clean up!

Rockets

The boys had fun shooting off rockets at the park.

I had fun watching them shoot into the air and landing on a nearby roof!

It was fun while it lasted!

Chocolate Affaire

Every year downtown Glendale holds the Anual Chocolate Affaire. There are vendors of all kinds and of course LOTS of chocolate! We met up with the Josalyn, Jordan & Delaney and had a great time!

Landon and Jordan made chocolate pizzas courtesy of Cerreta's Candy.
It consists of a milk chocolate base that the kids can add mints, marshmellows or nuts and top it off with white frosting/white chocolate? I'm not really sure what the it was. But the boys LOVED it!


And since I really don't like chocolate I had a carmel covered apple with peanuts! Delish! Of course I shared with Landon. He loves anything that has sugar on it.


We also were able to take a tour of Cerreta's Candy factory.



It was very cool to see where the chocolate and other candies were made.


A conveyor belt of pretzels on their way to be covered in chocolate.



And what's a candy store without a giant Rice Krispie Treat in the shape of a bunny! Ten bucks says Landon and Nick could eat that whole thing in one day! I might help too!
