Leia you
are ONE month old!!
Sleep: You are a pretty good sleeper. Most nights you will sleep for 3-4 hours before getting up to eat. Usually I have to rock and hold you completely asleep before I can put you in your bassinet. The first two weeks you wouldn't sleep any where but in bed with me and Daddy. But now you will sleep in your bassinet.
Feed: Because of your soft cleft palate you are not able to breastfeed so I have to pump and bottle feed you. You also need a special bottle right now. Thankfully the hospital and doctor gave us some bottles (they are expesive) for free. I have not been able to keep up with you so what I don't have in breast milk I supplement in formula. I hate pumping but I know it's best for you and I want to give you everything.
Weight: We went to the doctor yesterday and you weigh 6 pounds 10 ounces!!! You were not gaining weight like the doctors liked in the first few weeks so 6 pounds 10 ounces is AWESOME!!!
Length: Still 18 3/4 inches long. You're in the 2 percentile for height. You're a shorty but "Short is Beautiful!"
Diapers: You are in newborn diapers. You finally seem like you into them and not drowning in them.
Clothes: You are wearing newborn clothes. Most fit ok, but some you swim in. You will being wearing newborn for a while, definitely longer than the average baby. In fact the outfit you are wearing in these pictures I bought to bring you home from the hospital but it was too big. Now that you are a month old it fits perfectly!
Hair
Color: Your hair is brownish red, just like your Aunt Stacey's. Although it seems that it has lightened up in the last month.
Eye
Color: Your eyes are blue right now, but I am hoping that they will turn green like me and Daddy's.
Milestones: You are awake more often right now. I love our special time together when you just stare at me and make silly faces! I love the faces and sounds you are starting to make.
Your
Favorite Toy: You are not playing with toys right now. But it seems like you are looking at the mobile on your swing and bouncer.
