Memorial Day

The Stanley's were kind enough to invite us and the Kammeyers over for Memorial Day for BBQ and swiming. Too bad we didn't have Landon, he LOVES the pool!

Josalyn Kammeyer

The kids and dads had a blast swiming! When the little kids were done they played on the toddler sized swing set Mindy has in the backyard.

This was a perfect opportunity for me to practice using the "advanced" camera Nick and I bought at the begining of the year. I really need to figure out how to use it properly.

Sophia loved pushing Delaney in the swing! And I'm pretty sure Delaney loved it too!

Nick "chillin" with the kids! Such a ladies man!

Got Magic?

Since we were in Anaheim for Glee, we HAD to stop at Disneyland!!!

Josalyn and I sporting our Glee shirts!!!!

Although we had no kids with us this time we still had a blast!

We only visited Disneyland and not California Adventure this time. But next time....

Oddly, the older I get the more I actually LIKE It's a Small World ride. I use to HATE it! Thought it was so freakin' annoying!! But now, I kinda like it!

Glee-ks

Last year Josalyn told me about this TV show "Glee". I really didn't want to start watching ANOTHER show and add it to the already large list of crap-TV that I watch. She insisted that I would L.O.V.E. it and should give it a try. So I did. And she was right!!! It was the begining of the second season, so I proptly added Season 1 to my Netflix list and watched the entire first season as fast as Netflix could send me the next disc! I was hooked!!!!

Tuesday nights Josalyn & I would watch Glee and text each other through almost every episode! (Nick thinks we're crazy -but whatev!) When we found out that Glee would be in concert we HAD. TO. GO! So we did!!!

Josalyn, Liz*, Jenn**, John***, and I took a road trip to Anaheim and saw Glee in person!!!!

We couldn't get 5 seats together so Josalyn & I sat together and Jenn, Liz & John sat a few rows in front of us ={

The cast of Glee!!! Totally freakin' AWESOME!!!!

Both Josalyn and my favorite episode is when Artie does the Safety Dance!!! (His character is in a wheelchair and for this episode he does a dream sequence and gets up and dances!!! Awesome!)

There was a group of 10 little girls about 7-9 years old that sat infront of us. They were all wearing matching t-shirts and were the cutest things ever!! They sang along, danced, and screamed right along with the rest of us!!! You can see a few of them in the picture of Jenn, Liz & John.

Graduation

This weekend I had the opportunity to participate in the Spring Graduation Ceremony. I "technically" don't finish school until August but I was allowed to walk in May!!!

It was a little odd graduation from a college when I've never actually stepped foot on campus before. NAU has a long distance learning program. I was able to take classes online and at the Paradise Community College campus. So, I never had to drive the 2 hours to Flagstaff to attend classes! It's guiness really. NAU has access to students (and their tuition) all over the state and the only cost to them is finding teachers in the Phoenix Metro area to teach the classes!!!

My very own diploma cover. (I don't get the actual diploma until I finish for reals.)

When I do finish I will have a Bachelors degree in Business Administration.

I have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but DANG-IT I've got it!

The people that drove two (or more) hours to watch me walk across a stage!

And my BIGGEST supporter my AWESOME hubby Nick!

Vegas Baby! Vegas!

Since we were in Las Vegas for Stacey and Scott's wedding we decided to take advantage of the opportunity to show Landon around Sin City! (without the Sin!)

We went to the M&M store! Landon's favorite I'm sure!

Gpa & Landon

We also went to the Coke store.

On the last day we watched the water show at the Belagio!

All Landon could say was "WOW!" & "WOOHA!"

We missed the pirate show at Treasure Island but all the more reason to bring Landon back and watch it!

Congratulations Stacey & Scott!!!

This weekend Nick's sister Stacey and her long time boyfriend got hitched!

I flew to St Louis to pick up Landon and then the two of us flew to Las Vegas to meet up with Nick (who drove). We made it just in time for the rehearsal dinner.

The next day was the wedding at Ceasar's Palace. It was beautiful!

The whole weekend was pretty cold but it warmed up long enough to not freeze us during the wedding.

It was a short, but sweet ceremony (just the way I like it!) and then on to the reception!

Stacey dancing with her Father.

(Linda, Dewey, & Mary)

Landon got the honor of the first dance with the bride, after Scott & her Dad of course!

Bridesmaids: Melissa & Alison

It was a great time and a very beautiful wedding!

Handsome man!

Somehow Landon ate his weight in cherries and chocolate covered strawberries.

Congratulations Stacey and Scott!!

Baby Talk

I've had a few people ask me what was going on in the baby department at the Heuer house. So, I thought I'd give everyone the Cliffs Notes version.

As most of you know Nick and I have been trying to conceive (TTC) for over a year now with no luck. Nick has been tested and everything is good from his end. In November I got a prescription from my GN for the drug Femara. This drug is supposed to help induce ovulation and increase our chances of TTC. For two months I took the Femara and nothing.

Our next stop was a Reproductive Endocrinologist (baby makin' doctor). He gave me more drugs, Chlomid this time. It does the same thing as the Femara but they called something different (and it's WAY cheaper!).

The doc did some blood work on me the first round and determined my eggs are good quality and I am ovulating. So far there is nothing wrong with me either. Other than the fact that we can't get a bun in my oven!

This month I get a fun test to make sure that my tubes are not blocked. And by "fun" I mean lying under an x-ray machine while a doctor throws some dye in my who0-ha and watches to see where it goes! Can't wait!

So, long story short we are still in the "Take two (or ten) of these and call me next month when your monthly visitor shows up". What a waste of 13 years of birth control co-pays.
