New Year's Eve

This year for New Year's we went the Jarman's!
The adults played games and the kids played while we ate and waited for midnight.

After midnight we lit sparklers..

and small fireworks!

The kids screamed and ran every time a firework was lit

and

the adults stood around and laughed hysterically at them!
It was AWESOME!

Landon decided the fireworks were too scary and stayed in the house.

All the kiddos (left to right):

Ashlyn, Kaytlyn, Kaleb, Landon McClaws, Landon Heuer, Ethan, Kensley, Ali, Kayley,
and Coconut (the dog)

I love silly face photos!

and one more silly face pictures cause they all are just so stinkin' cute!

And one more kiddo.. Eli

And the big "kids"

Jaymi, Mark, Spencer, Lizeth, Jaime, Brent, Nick and me

Brent... always the comedian!

My New Year's Sweetie!
I'm so lucky I get to spend another year with him!

**Brooke & Wayne were there too but Brooke was about a million years pregnant and had to go home early =(

52 Things to do in 2012

Instead of a New Year's Resolution that usually never happens I decided to go with a list of things to accomplish for 2012. If you know me, you know I LOVE me a list! I will even put things on my list just for the satisfaction of crossing it off the list!

Last year when I attempted this list I was no where near organized to actually do it. This year I'm doing it! I'm making a list and keeping track of the things I finish. So, here's my list for 2012... (in no particular order)

Dear Santa,

For me Christmas is a stressful time of year. Scheduling when we'll see which family on what day, making sure that all the presents are wrapped, the tree and decorations are up, checking my shopping list four times to make sure that no one was missed.

But then the day finally gets here and seeing the excitment on Landon's face makes it all worth it!

Santa brought Landon an air guitar and amp!  He LOVES it! Last year Uncle Scott & Aunt Carrie got him a set of drums. Pretty soon he'll have a whole band!
(favorite pic of the year!)

My family came over on Christmas evening for dinner and gifts.
Landon loves seeing his cousin Jude! Or Judee as he likes to call him.

Landon even helped Jude open some of his gifts. It was very sweet.

Then the next day we went to Gma & Gpa's house for Christmas AGAIN!

Landon helped pass out gifts!

Gma, Gpa, Scott & Grandpa Bob

Uncle Dan

Aunt Stacey

And every year Stacey and Nick regift the "pooping" animals. It has been a tradition for about 5 years now. This year Stacey wrapped AND shrink wrapped each animal seperately. It was pretty funny watching Nick open them! This tradition doesn't look like it's going to end anytime soon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Favorite Things

These are a FEW of MY favorite things
Those of you who have not discovered this little gem I HIGHLY recommend it! Although I will warn you, it is VERY addictive!!!

#2 Decor & DIY/Craft blogs
I love logging on everyday to see all my favorite bloggers and what creative and crafty things they have done with their homes! It's an excellent resource when you have a decor block or need a new baby shower gift idea.  Here are just a handful of my favorites:

There are also a few on my side bar (although I should probably update that...)
#3 Days of Christmas candle from Gold Canyon
All I have to say is YUM! It really is not Christmas time at my house without a Days of Christmas candle from Gold Canyon.

#4 Goodwill and Craigslist

I don't think this needs much explanation. In my house it would be easier to point out the items that did NOT come from one of these two places! It still amazes me the things people will donate! But I'm not complaining!

#5 Pictures
I think I just love photography in general. My thought is that you'll never be able to go back in time to capture that moment. I just wish I was better at it. But that's what classes are for and it is on my list of things to do in 2012!

25th Anual APS Light Parade

The 25th Annual APS Light Parade was this weekend and some how I talked Nick into going.  We were not able to go last year because Nick was on a plane getting Landon.

The parade doesn't start until the evening when the sun goes down but everyone always gets there early to get a good spot. The kids play in the street when it closes, we eat pizza, and just spend good times with friends!

This year the Kammeyers joined us!
Delaney

Josalyn (Jordan in the background)

It was FREEZING!!!!! I believe it was in the low 40s!
But we stayed. And the parade started!
We busted out the hot chocolate (and mini candy cane for me!) took our seats and watched.

I love the train!

And then it started to rain.

And rained some more. Cold. rain. Yeah, we were out of there!
We all left! So the parade was a bust!
Let's hope next year is better and warmer!

Sophia Birthday

This weekend was Sophia's 2nd birthday! I can't believe how fast they grow up!

Sophia's mom (Mindy) rented a bounce house and all the kiddos had a BLAST!! (again Landon was in Missouri and missed out on the fun! -it's a good thing he has his very own bounce house)

There was even a ball pit for the little kids!

Delaney Kammeyer

There was birthday cake!

And PRESENTS!!

It was good times even for the adults!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOPHIA!!

Let's give THANKS

This year has been quite a ride in the Heuer house. Here is a little recap from 2011 (so far):
**click on the picture caption for the blog post**

Nick & I survived the first year of marriage

Landon found out he is going to be a BIG brother!!!

Nick got a new car

All of these things made for a ver memorable and exciting year. I am thankful for so many things but my top two would have to be:

Modern science and the doctors that helped Nick & I get pregnant.

&

My patient, caring husband that has put up with me during my hormonal and emotional roller coasters. Between infertility drugs and pregnancy hormones, Nick might be eligible for sainthood!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
